Combined Print Media (digital print, photo-etching, sugar lift etching, chin colle)
30" x 20"
In “Prior Street Billboard” I created an ad in the vein of Roy Lichentstein by both imitating the look of the printing press and incorporating a Benday dots pattern like those used in comic strips. This ‘ad’ is imposed on a colour digital print of an industrial landscape populated by a single billboard. Smaller prints including dream-like animal clouds are adhered to this image using the chin colle method. The ad itself is for an energy drink where a woman asks the viewer, “Are you awake?” This print combines digital print, photo-etching, sugar lift etching, and chin colle.
